Siegfried Knasmüller, PhD

Siegfried Knasmüller, PhD is head of the Environmental Toxicology group and is employed at te ICR since 1989. His research interests concern the effects of environmental mutagens and the cancer risks and chemopreventive properties of dietary factors. He published in total 140 articles in peer reviewed journals, he is member of the editorial board of several journals (Mutation Research, Mutagenesis, Food and Chemical Toxicology), edited two scientific books and organized a number of international conference on genetic toxicology and cancer research, and participated in four coordinated EU projects (HEPDNA, HCAMINES, DNA DOSIMETRY, EFGLU) an also in COST action 933. He became coordinator of the special interest group on ecogenotoxicology of the European Environmental Mutagen Society and is at present also the councilor of the German Mutagen Society (GUM)
